Where was your favourite ever  trip?

All of my dreams came true last November as after 17 months of waiting from booking to visiting, we finally visited Florida and the Disney and Universal parks. We spent two weeks having the adventure of a lifetime.

What made you choose to go there and who did you go with?

I have been wanting to visit Florida since I was a little girl. We tested the waters in 2016 with a trip to Disneyland Paris, and this made us feel like we were ready to take the plunge to go to Florida while the kids were able to still really enjoy the magic. We went as our 5 piece family and also my Mother and Father in law too joined us and we stayed in a Disney Villa.

What made it so special ? ( please write a longer piece about the destination here with a few photos)

Walt Disney World was absolutely top of my list to visit and has been since I was a small girl watching my Cinderella video over and over again. We decided in May 2017 to book our trip and decided to visit in November 2018 due to low crowds and cooler weather. We are lucky that the school approved our request to take the children out of school, meaning we really could make the most of our trip.

I had the time of my life researching and planning our trip as I absolutely love organising things. I totally immersed myself in all things Disney related and drafted up fastpass must dos and characters meals that I knew we’d love. It really felt like such a special holiday and we didn;’t tell the kids until two months before so keeping it a secret made it even more exciting. We decided to add on a couple of days at the Universal parks quite late in the day and I am so glad we did. I don’t think I realised how much we would love these parks and definitely would spent more time at Universal if we go again. The whole trip was just amazing from start to finish and I still pinch myself that it really was real, and we really got to live it!

The kids were at such a great age to visit and I am already planning on going back potentially in 2021 – watch this space!

Where was your least favourite part of the trip and why? ( just briefly)

I unfortunately had a sickness bug that meant I missed a couple of trips to the parks, but having my in Laws there meant the kids didn’t miss out on the parks and luckily my planning meant that I still got to visit all the parks so didn’t really miss out on anything – plus I lost weight so every cloud!

What destination is on your Bukit list ?

New York is top of my agenda for my husband and I to visit. It’s such an iconic place that I feel like I grew up with it as so much of a backdrop to so many TV shows I watched. I always wanted to go for my 30th but with small twin daughters as I turned 30, it looks like it’ll be more of a 40th birthday trip instead. Me being me, already has a rough plan of exactly what I want to do in my head and I definitely have the American bug and would love to visit so many states over there. Maybe when the kids get older!

Thankyou so much Beth for sharing your travel blogger tales
