Hey, I’m Bex, I am a parenting/lifestyle blogger based over at ClearlyBex.co.uk. I blog mostly about life as a family of 4, we have hectic lives with my sons love for Archery but in our spare time we love adventures on days out and UK based holidays.
Where was your favourite ever trip?
We just love holidays in the UK, and we’ve blogged about various “staycations” we have taken. Our favourite holiday in the UK has to be our week spent on the Norfolk Broads. My children then aged 6 & 9 had a fantastic week and were easy to keep occupied with various activities that we packed with us.
We hired a small river boat which was to be our home for the week, in all honesty is was a little small and cramped for the 4 of us but it was an experience for our first ever visit.
What made you choose to go there and who did you go with?
We holidayed alone, just the husband and my 2 children. We’ve done holiday cottages, caravans and hotels all have been brilliant holidays for their own reason, but we wanted something a little more different this time.
What made it so special ?
Any holiday is special to us, the chance to spend time alone the 4 of us without the stresses of daily life and our family run business. It’s a fantastic time for us to relax and unwind.
As for the location itself, the Norfolk Broads are just so peaceful and relaxing. Cruising along the waterways, at a maximum speed of 6mph (in non residential areas) is just so calming. The views were amazing, the towns we stopped at were also fantastic but we mostly opted to spend our days on our boat and staying in an evening in remote locations.
Where was your least favourite trip and why?
I’m going to be honest here, absolutely no where stands out as our “least favourite trip” at all. Anywhere we go we make the absolute most of, even our frequent holidays to the Lake District which we have been to coming up to 4 times. There is always somewhere new to visit, always something new to see and if we don’t like a location we just jump into the car and move on.
What destination is on your Bukit list ?
This one is simple, Scotland! My husband and I have never been and would just love to go. No where in-particular stands out as a destination at the moment but we know we just have to go! We intend to make this our summer holiday destination 2020.
